keep feeling like nothing is real this week. hyperreal and anti-real.

simple, light one. continuing the shoegaze/sample trend.

Love this so much! Beautiful

Really nice use of distortion and melody.

many thanks to you both! lovely tracks from both of you this week as well.

Tonally, this gives me the same impression as the cave theme from Ocarina of Time.  Beautiful!

Wow, this is a new style for me, and I like it a lot! Super nice use of chord changes. And I love your use of release at the end when the graininess disappears. I’m going through the rest of your stuff now and it’s all great. You have a great sense of composition.

didn't realize it but yeah this does have a bit of an Ocarina of Time vibe, i should bust out my Ocarina for next weeks beat. I used a couple Super Mario Sunshine soundfonts in here, so that probably contributes to the vgm impression.

Thanks a bunch! Great to hear it's sounding like a new style to you, trying to blend a bunch of different genres w my weeklybeats stuff to mixed success, but it's been a fun journey thus far.

Wow so delightful big_smile

Love sample alias.

Lovely simplicity with the beat and some warmth to the distorted tone floating amongst it.

Cozy. Distortion adds interest and makes it more hypnotic without being harsh and that's very nice

Shifty and soothing at the same time. Well done!

ooo yeah this right here really love that saturation and the opening samples

Its got an interesting quality to it that never ceases to fascinate me. Super intrigued by the various artifacts/signatures produced by both digital & analog mediums.

Glad the distortion comes across as warm as opposed to abrasive/distracting, always a tough balance to strike. Thanks to both of you!

Thanks guys! Saturation is a tool that I'm definitely still getting fully comfortable with, but I love what it can do in the right settings. The sample is from a Vashti Bunyan folk tune believe it or not, trying to jump outside the box source-wise lately.

The chord changes are amazing.  There is some sort of music theory thing happening that I can't name, but it is so good!  Would love to hear a band version of this!

Love the pulsing bass with the super relaxing chord progression and mellow beat.  The outro has a cool dream-like exit to it too.  Nice work!

sounds like a parallel minor temporary key change!

It's lovely background music.

Really like the warm distorted tones in this (then again, I have always had a soft spot for shoegaze). Well done!
