The Riding Crop

Vocal samples are from "Perversion" (public domain, 1965)

I made my own resolution this year to write at least two songs a month - a friend just told me about this site, so I thought i'd join in.

Style is...EDM? Darkwave? I'm influenced by 80s industrial and electronica, so take from that what you will.

I frequently will take a movie soundtrack and just let it run underneath. But this one became much more fun to slice up into the most salacious material.

Glad you joined WB! This is cool, the vocal samples really work with it and sliced/placed well. Cool dark industrial vibe to it. Thanks for sharing!

You made the vocal samples sound like Optimus Prime a bit and now I imagine this is a tribute. Sweet beat though.

SQF - Thanks! Dark industrial, I like that. I'm liking playing around with accidents as I slice and mix. It's been YEARS since I've done a weekly song challenge, and I forgot how much fun it is to find happy accidents.

Devieus - Oh god, core memory unlocked. Maybe that's why I pitch all my samples down, I want them to sound like Peter Cullen. "Autobots - deviant sex!"

The guitar lead adds so much to this track! The beat and pitched-down voice give it a quietly relentless vibe.
