Poison

I used some of the samples in this a while ago, but I think samples are like instruments...some of them beg to be reused.

Started out playing around with basslines in my head waking up one morning. I was experimenting with using the SQ-1 sequencer to automate the filters on the K2.

Sequenced in Logic Pro
Noise bed: 2600
Bass: K2 (doubled with software)
Lead: Wasp
Pad: Arturia Prophet V
Drums: Logic Pro drummers/drum synth

Samples are from Printed Poison, public domain. Yet another skin mag movie - moralistic panic video yields great samples.

The K2 was a total pain in the ass to keep in tune. Such is the fun with analog.

The voices are craaazy, I wasn't ready for how big this track was about to get. Lots of effective tension building and cohesion throughout!

i like the last big section a lot, and the vocal samples are really nicely handled

Thanks! I like how this one evolved as it went along, was a different song by the time it ended. I tried adding guitar before the end break and it didn't work.

I love how analog drums sound with electronic, absolutely huge.

Love the vocal samples - very heavy. Agree that the analog drums are very effective - I would maybe like to see them come in earlier? Dunno! nicely done! thank u!

Great work on the voice. Don't worry about reusing anything, The Great Dictator is pretty common, so you're good.

I love this so much - when the guitar kicks in, the track lands with ferocity. Great way to pull it together!
