WHOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
I wasn't expecting some fucking HEAVY SHIT. I need to learn to scream like that. You know I'm partial to brutality so this is of course immediately going in my favorites, haha. The vox are commanding my attention but the guitar and drums are super nice here, especially when you kick it back to that clean tone and play those smooth chords.
That was sick.
YAY! I love this vocal tone, so piercing and rhythmic at the same time, infectious in its head-banging feel
(yes, i promise, i'll come back for the vid, too... saw the name 'OrangeDrink' and just had to listen right away, tho)
MUCH love to my homies Devieus, Viridian, & Raja aka the SILLY SQUAD because they were SILLY and left comments before the much delayed video! It should be up now!
Takes me back to college days practicing with my friends in a tiny cramped warehouse space. Great job on the vocals especially the added harmonies. The break down towards the end was super chill. *circles the mosh pit* Keep on keepin' on!
"redial, and redial, and redial again" - feel this
what a perfect allegory to process this
& sending
i really like your scream voice and i also really enjoyed the dynamics in this with the mix of distortion and dreaminess - it was so in the genre but so totally Orange Drink
the video really captured the energy & it's so nice with a screamer song to have the lyrics on the screen - they were so artfully placed as well - really good hardcore to me is always very poetic as you've illustrated here!
Hell yes! What a ride... It also sound really good, the panned chorus voices are great. Great composition as well, the end makes it whole of something with the little breakbeat.
FOLYHUCKORANGEDRINKWTFBBQLMAOPHONE+FIREEMOJISYEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHRRRGGGGHH!
Stretch goal: license this song as on-hold music for bigcorp phone menus
MUCH love to my homies Devieus, Viridian, & Raja aka the SILLY SQUAD because they were SILLY and left comments before the much delayed video! It should be up now! <3
ah, he's not here rn, but changing names is always a hassle

Also you can make scary eyes...
I am really scared now…
Seriously, great job again Drew. Solid track.
came back to check the video: such a rush!! and yes you do make scary eyes... sexy scary & scary sexy!
reminds me of your OutOfMyMind vid, made extra scary eyes in that one
(now that i think about it: i kept looking to see if maybe it was mascara that made your eyes pop here, but you're probably not wearing any... still, thought i'd mention it, because somehow your scary eyes here have inspired me to try wearing mascara in a vid someday )
Also, the sudden shot of a plant almost felt strange at 1:47(i thought to myself, 'wait, this feels strange, maybe the imagery doesn't go as hard as the message of the music here'...)...BUT THEN! you start screaming, "how can i lie about lying again" and i realize the plant works perfectly: it works like a sudden distraction, preparing me for this metaphysical feeling of creating a lie. in fact, it helps me realize: all of the music videos i've ever seen are built upon lies -> the way the music makes everything feel larger than life automatically is a kind of lie(and this is the premise that most are built on: to be larger than life) - yet in your videos, when you use whatever's around you however you can to express all this, it becomes evident you don't lie as much in yours - this is your real life too, you don't 'put on airs' like others, because you live your life with an exquisite depth
Great job on the screaming. I'm impressed and also my throat hurts a little in sympathy. I liked how some of the music was a little more chilled out. A lot of hardcore seems to get a little too "one-note" for my taste, but this brings in some nice variety to the proceedings.
ALRIGHT, we're in hardcore territory. Great singing for this vibe, this is my kind of hardcore jam for the singing - loved the intensity and the lyrics. The phone is a great metaphor, i really like the play you're doing on the wrong number. You may be delusional, but be assured that every single human is as well. We're all on the same boat, and just trying to get a little better every day.
By the way, is that old phone functional? We need a sample of the sound it makes when it rotates!
I like the fact that for each instrument you play, the lighting, or setup, or clothes are different. It looks like it's a different person/different personality playing it. I like the cable madness with the bass.
I like also the fact that you went beyond simple hardcore, the chorus guitar and the end guitar are really interesting, giving a near jazz feel to it.
I admire the persistence week after week and also the diversity you put both into the songs and into the videos! Keep up the excellent work!
This is amazing. The intensity! Someone shook up their orange drink before they opened it. It still manages to be so OD with the clean guitar chords you go into. And also, you slayed me with that deadpan look into the camera as the drums kicked in at 3:20 in the vid. Great job!
Listened to this while I was in the lounge with the GF and I was like, check out this dude's music. He usually does these great melodic vocal type songs. Quite catchy yet very cool.
Nek minute.... hahaha.
This track is great! I'm more of a heavy, noisy fan as opposed to super pop so thoroughly enjoyable. You mentioned screamo but it didn't have the lame screamo stuff where they have these cheesy singing melodies in the chorus'. Starts off like a mellower version of Converge and ends with more of a La Dispute vibe.
Nice one!!
Yes. Yes. More. Of. This! Fierce vocals. Love it. Great bass sound and riffs. Where did that phone come from?
Work commute favorite the week it came out, I've been dealing w/ some pressure and this one was the release valve, actually. Or a redial valve? (Whoa, getting late here in Seattle...)
Love the video, the matteress shots are great.
Yes! I like it. Makes me feel 18 again. I was into stuff like this before electronic, hip hope and other beat driven stuff I got into later. This picked me up! Great clean mix. Powerful and vulnerable story to share, much respect for sharing, making the song, but also talking openly about your journey, that takes courage to do the work, and share, respect and love to you!
Not typically a style of music I listen too, but this was dope, great lyrics, they are going to be stuck in my head, need to check out those influences you mentioned.
