That, I Don't Know

This took about 30 minutes to write, and then 14 hours to record. I tuned my drums and spent a lot of time on microphone placement. The drums were recorded with two microphones only. Running out of time, so I will update with notes later. This was an emotional rollercoaster. I loved the song, hated it, loved it again, hated it even worse and really doubted myself, but now I love it and think it's the best thing I've ever done (but I always say that after finishing a song) ;-)
BONUS NOTES:
The song, like many of my songs, is about the struggle towards self-acceptance. I don't know if I can really write a "happy song" but I feel my version is "rays of sunlight behind a cloud".
After listening to this for a few days, I think I will say it's the best thing I've ever done, and I am looking forward to besting it later this year. There are a few vocal lines that I want to redo because I don't think I was exactly on pitch, and I want to figure out a sidechain or EQ compression solution to let that "triplet" guitar stand out more during the choruses. The drums might get lost a little bit during the last chorus, and the overall bass guitar may be a little too loud. I am not that worried about it, however!
Microphone notes:
Rode NT-1A: Vocals, Drum overhead, tambourine
Shure SM7B: Kick drum
Shure SM57: Guitar and bass amp
