First! Such great tension building in the progression. The echoey sounds that come in on top toward the end add some great flavor. I must confess, I want to hear it explode into a heavy rocker. Nice tones, well done.

Congrats on your show! Looks like you have a great time on stage, I personally love that moment when a show is over and you get to just chat with the people who showed up and watch the other bands play. And ahhh, I love that you included the after-show unpacking haha. Nothing quite like unwinding after an eventful night. Cool song this week too! The delay guitar lays down a nice vibe with those drawn out chords. The ambient synth adds some nice texture and I especially like how it crescendos towards the end with lots of warbles and pitch shifting.

You stole first from me.

Usually OD has 20+ comments by this time, not sure how I got it. Also, I meant to congratulate you on the show as well! I was going to in WM, but you're not on today. Congrats!

Glad to hear your show went well!  Nice to see you busting your moves on the stage also.  I like the clean guitar tones here although I agree with the above comment, it would have especially awesome for it to explode into absolute heaviness at the end.  But still super cool track as is.

Looks like it must've been a sweet concert from the footage. Congrats! big_smile
Great instrumental this week too. Very contemplative and compelling.

So many mooooves

I like how this sounds a bit like the soundtrack to coming back from a show, in the car, when the adrenaline starts to wear off. The juxtaposition of this music that is more meditative and the videos of the show with a lot of energy is interesting - I can see a lot of power dance moves and I understand when you said a show like this needs some physical preparation, it looks like so full of energy! How's the aftermath? Looking forward to more shows? How do shows feel post covid compared with pre pandemic?

I love that dissonant chord in the progression which works a treat and the most impressive part is you actually unpacking when you get home!  Haha.
The headbanging part was pretty good too.  smile \m/

Loved the concert footage. How did it feel to play on stage again? It had been a while, right?

Pretty sweet buildup with these guitars and background FX. Very very nice! Congrats on your live show, it looks amazing!

your guitar always sounds great, super interesting texture. loved the feel of this track, congrats on the show!

best sweater ever.

V nice and chill, loving these guitar sounds you keep coming up with. Next week you should sample the floor squeak from the video.

it's the return of *EHRUH-EHRUH* return of *EHRUH-EHRUH* ba da ba *EH-RUUUP* baaaaaa ORANGE DRINK

It's a perfect song to be lost in thoughts, I imagine this is before you make a important choice maybe. I wish I can hear your show also, it looks fun!

The dissonant tension building guitar really has that Orange Drink sound I've come to enjoy.  Also I think some WB_Samplin'_Genius should sample the squeaks and "do it again" mini song into one.

Listening on a train ride in gray, early-spring Norway, this track fits in all sorts of ways, from the constantly chugging bass to the tasteful dissonant elements. I like how the delay took a prominent role halfway through.

Are you loading back in at home in the last part of the video? Truly the unseen part of the gig unknown to non-musicians. I feel that vibe in the music as well... tense, but the pace eases. Great guitar tone and mood.

What a show stopper.

can't wait to dance at an orange drink show!

I didn't leave a comment -- but what I wrote in chat was

You have the best squeak in your video.
And footage of your live show is amazing, wish I could have been there, you genius you ❤️

Love the energy in the video, great footage from the show, handstand is legit, looks like you had a great time.

I just watched on you tube, I'll just paste my comment from there here ... Wish I was there! So fun to watch the show footage, you have a great presence and moves, a handstand, yes! Yeah great idea to score differnt music to the footage. Dramatic. Reminded me of how Fugazi did that in their documentary. Puts things in a whole new perspective! We going to hear audio from show too someday!

you are awesome, this video is awesome, your shirt and Frank's shirt are awesome, this song is awesome, and this show must have been awesome. I really want to go to an Orange Drink show someday. thank you for being a never-ending fountain of joy.

Congrats on the show! Wish I was there!

just saw the video, lookin good on stage! very nice track, quite emotional but not as hard hitting as the others. I like the versatility!

Catching up on my orangedrink really enjoying the build up too the end of the show as the tension breaks

Thank you!  It was great to get that “first one after a long time” show over with.  Felt good and had some great friends come out and support me, a few I haven’t seen in years.  It’s actually 100% guitar!

Maybe a future track will have that heaviness!  Thanks about the show/moves!

Definitely trying to nail that post-show-exhaustion/relief/depression/excitement combo.  I’m looking forward to more shows, but not during a year where I’m trying to do videos and songs?  But hopefully trying to slowly build a career out of this one of these decades?!?!?!?!

I don’t think any performer or venue is seeing the numbers they used to see before the pandemic, and that’s okay for me because I’m not ready for big stuff yet, but I’m glad we’re slowly getting out of the woodwork.  The headlining band had been touring throughout the whole thing, so I have so much respect for them keeping it going.  I know a few bands that just totally quit, which is understandable, but of course very sad.

I always love that “plot twist” in my chord progressions!
Glad you appreciated the headbanging!  Gotta do it for the kids \m/

Yes, first show in 2+ years!  The thought of it was very nerve wracking, but once I stepped on stage it felt like riding a bike.  There are feelings/emotions/ideas that can only be expressed in a live context and it was so great to be back.  You don’t hear audience applause nor can you make eye contact during a live streaming show!

Thank you so kindly.  The show was fun!

I appreciate your words on the guitar, I really love the combination of guitar, strings, reverb, amp that I have.

HA I have to do a squeakbeat now.  Drum N Squeak

I CAN HEAR THIS SO ACCURATELY

It’s simultaneously about after the show AND before the show!  I can also see someone sitting in the car thinking about something before they get out of the car and knock on the door of a house.

I’ll have to post some clips from the next show!

Didn’t know you are in Norway - wonderful!  I bet it would be nice while looking out the window, thank you for this.

Yep!  That after-show time can be so many things to me, fun, relieving, sad, lonely, relaxing, etc.  It’s a lot.  Thanks!

You’ll be at a show one of these days!  PERFORMING
