A return to two-guitars/bass/drums for this week. Kind of slow and loose, a bit of a brooding mood, maybe. Submitted just before the deadline, so...there'll be some rough edges, likely.

I first tracked bass (80s Epiphone Embassy II on the P-pickup) against a click, doing a bunch of loops. Bass got the usual EQ-8 low-end roll-off, and then some convolution reverb.

I then tracked drums, using Ableton's 64 Pad Kit Jazz, with sends to an Echo return channel (and a touch of room reverb). This also got some Max Humanizer.

Next up, guitar--PureSalem Mendiola, straight into the board, with some sends to the echo plugins. (I probably should have done some room convolution reverb, but ran out of time.)

Sends: convolution reverb, two different echo plugins. Inline: Wide & Warm audio rack preset.

And that's it! The title comes from this being the 451st weekly track I've done.

Love that bass tone, so deep, with a bit of creak to it. All around dark, yet driven, so good heart

And yet, smooth as silk
