Haha you're becoming the curator/remixer of Weekly Beats. I like that you put the voice upfront and take us through that wonderful and strange journey. You get some heavy fuzzy sounds on that m8 - very nice.

Wub wub.

Just got back into town, had to check this out first thing, so honored! Thank you! Got this epic raving tidal wave of shivers going up and down my spine, really love that sparse kick dropping some heavy weight, while everything remains fluttering high-in-the-air-like. Much Love heart

Phew! Relieved you like it more than not like it! Just like w/ the rest of the remix projects I know what I'd want to change / complete, but both the gesceap and the wangus mixes changed my opinion about what was the most important thing as I put a little time distance. So I'm going to similarly wait -- currently insecure about cutting drums for the second "chorus." Absolutely loved working w/ your vocals and huge thanks for the kind email you sent at like the most perfect time about experimentation and trying new things -- I was kind of anxiousing myself into a stupor at the time and that email helped unblock myself. Thank you for letting me work w/ your work, thank you for trusting me w/ your voice heart

The remix project is 50% pressure point (responsibility of working w/ others' materials) and 50% "reading through" others' work (this is a rather good way to pick up a lot of technique or ideas along the way. It's pretty intentionally a "project" -- I just had an absolute mad July at work to not be able to engage. (I may have miscalculated how long it takes to grok others' work, but that's probably only important to me...)

Thanks for wubbing.

the upper-octave ghost harmonies in the reverb are so good. the minimal beat is dope too. not only did you respect the source material, you emphasized inherent melodic content in the vocals to make it sound even catchier.

Such a great treatment of the original, so awesome that you have been doing these remixes, love the use of distortion on this keeping the vocals clear and the Center of the track.

excellent sound design to the orginal, well done.

yes!!

Stepping out of your comfort zone! Love the evolving and very Orbitally bass. Lot of magic in the modulation round these parts

Really cool to hear these remixes.  I like how you kept the vocal really front and center in the mix while all kinds of ear candy goes on underneath.

I really dig the amount of space you gave Raja's voice on this track, it's the primary draw and then you add some nice sounds and vibes to keep it suspended front and center.

I enjoy your mix songs! I listen the original song now, and your change makes a new feeling to it. I like this 1:35, a simple part but how you make the words feels so more important. And wonderful singing to RajaTheResidentAlien!

I smile at that term "Brutalist Take" I want to use that at work, like hey, here's my brutalist take on your proposal!
Big ups to Raja, this song was fun, loved the lyric, great you featured those here.
I'm waiting for a drop, this has anticipation ...
Ah boom boom. Thar tis,
Loving these remixes you've been doing!
