New Year's Beat

And here we are, a year later. 52/52. It's a surprising accomplishment, now that I think about it--thank you for the motivation and feedback, fellow WBers!
This one: once again, no real plan starting out, but I cobbled some beats together (all synthesized in Analog--no drum machines), tried some synth lines over it, but threw them out because they were too minor (why end the year/project on a down note?) I tracked a bunch of Moog guitar, of which I kept the hard-trem lines through the Reuss RF-01. I had a bunch of major-key lines, but threw them out as too simplistic. When I tracked bass, I was feeling a bit more of an ambiguous groove, and went with that. That led to a few passes with clean Kalamazoo KG-2, and finally a pass with fuzzy Kalamazoo (through the fuzz-only side of the Reuss). A bunch of edits later, it seems to work. One neat thing: the final clean arpeggio line has fifteen repetitions, which felt right, and is thematically right for the new year. (Title suggested one of my kids, and that seemed right, too.)
