Intuition

A...well, intuitively structured piece for this weekend, kind of interior and reflective. I had thoughts about what kind of piece to do this week, which all got abandoned when I started playing Friday night. This is what wanted to happen this week, and I've found that it's best to trust in the music I'm hearing, rather than try to force it in one direction or another.
Three tracks of PureSalem Mendiola, straight into the UA Volt, with a touch of convolution reverb send from each channel, and compression/eq on the stereo mix.
The title comes from Intuition Peak in the South Shetland Islands, which is 630 m west-southwest of Radoy Ralin Peak. That's a very tenuous association, but seeing the name of the peak, it was clear that this should be the title, particularly given the intuitive composition process: play something, respond, see where it's leading, respond to that, keep going.
Everyone's seen this weekend's horrible news, and we all have to work out the ways we can best respond to the state of the world now. (For me, this amounts to listening for what comes next, which is kind of an intuitive process.)
