Headland of the Birch Trees

Here's a bookend to last week's piece in 7/4, with another take on this time signature. There are similarities, but also differences: faster tempo, a looser structure, and some parts that really leaned into the double-3/4 + 1 structure. (Some maybe wanted more to be 3/4 than 7/4, but I've pulled out the golden shoehorn to make them fit. There might also be some timing wobbles in there, but I've left them.)

The usual signal chain, though you'll hear some breakup on the guitar, especially on the bridge pickup in the right channel: each of the three channels got some UA Volt 1 vintage circuit, which breaks up a bit below the clipping threshold.

The title comes from Rossbeigh or Ros Beithe (headland of the birch trees) in Ireland, off R564.

yes plz

The lack of tempo markers almost make it feel like it's one big bar that just flows like a river.

Love this guitar works. Clean, round, tasty.

beautiful layers! really enjoyed this listen, made me zone out

Really enjoy the variance in the rhythmic feel as you mentioned, some parts feel more 3/4 or more loose/undefined but the layers works so well and everything has this great calming quality. Super pleasant, chill vibes.
