Double Duplicate

Three tracks of Univox hollowbody in Bb F Bb F Bb C tuning. My sense of timing on this is weird: some phrases started with a rest, which works for them, but it's tricky to have them follow other phrases that don't begin with a rest, so there's an elastic sense of timing throughout--a push-and-pull, speed-up/slow-down effect. (This may stem from my choice of a slower metronome for the click.) I'd been thinking to do some just-guitar pieces that were a bit more uptempo, and this one does have some driving sections.

No effects inline, though some phrases get a bit of the UA Volt's vintage tone circuit. There's the usual convolution reverb and compression/eq on the main stereo outputs.

The title comes from NGC 537 being not only a double nebula, but a catalog duplicate with NGC 523.

another solid piece with a couple nice twists and turns

this is gorgeous - i love it

the title made me nostalgic randomly for carbon paper

so nice! i really enjoy how you play with time on this one  heart

Nice and breezy.

The track sounds great, and the empty spaces give it an extra emotive charge. I think they work well. Good choice on the tuning as well, the result is a bit mysterious that way.

very cool track. great composition.

Beautiful track - reminds me of one of Russian Circles lighter tracks or something by Caspian. The relatively clean guitar sound is great!
