Creoda

Keeping my hands on the sort-of-Fahey-tuned (Bb F Bb F Bb C) Univox hollowbody for this week. I'd started this one with the little fingerpicked thing in the right channel at the beginning, and built up responses to it. With wild swings in temperature and humidity over the last couple days, there was some drifting in the tuning between and even during a couple tracking sessions.

This is straight from the Univox to the UA Volt-1, default tone circuit. There are three tracks, one for the neck pickup, one for the bridge, and one for both. There's a bit of convolution reverb send on the tracks, and the usual compression/eq on the stereo mix.

The title comes from Creoda of Wessex, who may or may not have existed, but if he did, he may have died in 534 CE.

Thank you! I do have a couple collections of these guitar-only pieces that are up; I'm about due for compiling another one. https://mauricerickard.bandcamp.com/

Perfect! Wishlisting this right now 🙂

Thank you! Maybe a couple two three more weekly pieces with the Univox, and I'll have enough to choose from!

Beautiful recorded guitars. I like this track.

I love the composition here.  Such great harmony between the various guitar parts.

Thank you! I'm glad you all like it!

This feels like a very natural progression to the last one.
