A complex and challenging week, and waiting at the end of it was the release of the iVCS3--the iPad version of the classic EMS synth.  So I had a chance to play with it, mainly just messing around.  I recorded several different patches and sequences of my own, and used my Bureau of Nonstandards method of grabbing loops in Live, sub looping, building a structure quickly, and here it is with three minutes to spare.

I recommend the app, though--great stuff.

I've always digged that Putney sound. Kind of unstable, but oh so fun! Shame there isn't a version for Android, but maybe there is some vst emulation out there. I know i've played around with a free EMS emulator, but i don't think it was the VCS3 it was trying to emulate.

In a control room circa 1967 and heading to Mars.

miniature space invaders are hiding under my bed! (yep thats what i pictured) love the sound of everything bouncing around smile well done!
