An Invention

By OleJazzer on July 12, 2020 5:18 am

I was on vacation so I noodled around with the sounds in Garage Band on my iPad. It’s long and just comes in under the 16 MB max. I called it An Invention because I composed it loosely in the form of a Bach invention.

It's the music from a comedy drama about teachers with substance misuse issues.

I'm curious what this invention is, but in the meantime, I'll just chill to this song.
It feels sneaky.

It could be sneaky. I'm not sure. I'm thinking of doing an animation with it. It is definitely some kind of program music.I do like it.I don't think it's Supermarket music. I once did some of that inadvertently as a studio cat back in the mid 1970's. I laid down several "Melba Toast" guitar rhythmic tracks with a bass and drummer. three months later I was buying groceries and heard myself nearly buried under schmaltzy strings. The strings were playing "Street Fighting' Man".  I laughed.
