Too Many Tracks

By Nyarlos on November 6, 2022 9:00 pm

From a single played track last week to way too many this week! Got an amazing deal on a new amp this week, the Peavey Butcher, which is basically a JCM800 that was meant to be a signature for Joe Satriani but he left the company so Peavey just had to release as a separate line. But so cheap I couldn't turn it down.

For the tones, I blended the Butcher with my Dual Rectifier, But that just meant that every 'track' of guitar was 4 mic tracks. So there are overdub sections that end up with 12-16 layers of tracks. Might have been a bit ambitious here lol

Just whacked some leads together, mostly just improv, hence why a bit average, but after having to be so precise last week, I just phoned that shit in.

But did really like the blend of amps, the Marshall style being softer and fuller, the recto being more gain and edge.

Got that Blackgaze reverb going on, nice! As if you got a Butcher, I swear we were only just talking about that amp haha. (Unless you got it back then and it was getting a pre-delivery service big_smile)

Yeah, it just finally arrived, almost untouched condition! Had sat in a room for years, now she is getting the love all amps deserve.

So many tracks, and they're all great

ahhhhh! that’s a sexy shimmery distortion you got goin on here(great song sections, too, every single one so different yet still so infectious with the energy)  heart
