Shunk

Haleja said something to me this week, he mentioned that my rock songs always seem to have some "extreme" creeping in, and whether it was intentional, which it usually isn't, I just can't help it lol. But this week I tried to do that obviously, this starts as skate/pop punk, then gets shreddier as the song goes on, more drums, more guitars, more extreme!!! lol By the lead it should feel like a metal song. Not super happy with the final tone on the fast leads, should have used more gain, but I always say that anyway.

Pedlas for today:
Way Huge Fat Sandwich: Really odd experiment by dunlop here, it doesn't get much more dirt as you turn up the knob, its really hard to describe, but it gets more 'harmonically saturated', not real extra distortion. Total sales speak there, but that's how it seems.
Danelectro Cool Cat Distortion: More cheap goodness, these pedals just rule honestly, this is considerably cheaper than a DS1, but just have so much more to like, more excitement, more varied tone, just cheap awesomeness all the way!
Hendrix Crybaby: First half of the lead, just a bit more mid range bite than a standard crybaby to my ears, and the chrome top is pretty.

What a fun song! Gives me flannelette-era Megadeth vibes. Main rhythm tone is perfectly suited, tight and bite-y. I could listen to this many times!

I nominate you for best Destiny's Child cover of the week! Congratulations!

In all seriousness, though, great work. So tight, with snappy sounds and production.

Hahaha nice! Hi Isobel!

Alright you could not restist. Love the riff from 0:50 - efficient, short, to the point and super heavy noise. This track ROCKS. Headbanging here. This is closer to hardcore than skate punk with that tone but hey that works for me. And the drummer is busy at the double pedal. The ending with the CRAZY drum beat, and sweeping on the guitar! Killing it.

Excellent punk metal. 2:32 got me banging.

Thumping, drums and guitars hitting hard here, great riffs, especially liked the first punk half
