Metal Guy Tries to Groove

By Nyarlos on April 21, 2024 10:26 pm

A lot of people say extreme metallers have no groove, and they are right! While Im a fairly loose player, that's different to actual groove, and this was written to highlight that. Honestly realising it had to start with a bass intro drove fear into my heart! Not being great on the bass and having to keep a lock on it.

This week is the ultimate sleeper amp, the Kustom 72 Hardtop Coupe, the only amp in my stash with its inbuilt cushion. Honestly this thing slays, records as well as a JCM800 but with more gain, more EQ options and a superb clean and spring reverb. What a banger.

Damn, this grooves, in a metal kind of way! This was sick, nice work

Man, this goes hard! Great intro - the track really takes off at the 1:08 mark and just keeps climbing with that solo. Coming back to the original riff at the end ties it all up with a stainless steel bow. Awesome.

FUCK YES!

It grooves good to me! Add a real drummer that have just a bit more of feel and this would groove even more!

Thick guitars, nice bass tone too. This is solid. Like the guitar solo tone as well.
