Time Traveling Eagles of Arrakis

By NWSPR on August 12, 2018 11:50 pm

Fashioned with razor sharp chrome feathers and diamond talons, their saw tooth wave screech has been know to bend time and space.

I dug out my old Akai Miniak and spent the afternoon playing around with all the drum and percussion sounds. One of the effects sounds like a mutated eagle screeching so I went with it.  Also used the TR-8 and my total lack of tastefulness or knowing when to stop, to produce this week, #32. Hope you enjoy it and take a ride with the eagle.

Hope you all are well!

I had a fun time soaring with the eagle to this track.  It gets pretty epic there towards the end.

Agreed. What a trip!

Got a cool Egyptian vibe from this tasty track with an electrifying ending! I really dig the toms!! Also it's funny that we both put a clock in our compos this week smile

Arrakis is a fascinating place. That ending is great with those massive swoops, would've loved to hear those clocks coming back for it to really hit it home.

"We're approaching an asteroid field!" Love it.

It is said most lesser beings who even see one Eagle die from the sheer majesty. Glad you survived long enough to make this fantastic jam!

Wow, I really like this one, sounds so pro for lack of a better word.

... and the eagle flies, with the doooove... Red leader standing by, Gold leader standing by..... nice!

Works nicely! A great deranged synthwave vibe all over smile Love the epic melody in the end...ties it all together beautifully.

Love that ending! The spice must flow...

Nice atmosphere setup from the very start heart I love the piano in this one, it's a really cool fit in this mix alongside all those other instruments.

That's where you must break dance to please the eagles or die a thousand deaths in their steel talons.

Thanks! I think I had to exit the track early due to some technical difficulties. Or else I would have had an epic synth battle for the planet.

Whatever you do, don't hit the hyper space button. BTW, loving your latest release on Band Camp.  Thank you for putting that out there!

Or did I? Could be a final stray transmission before disappearing beyond the event horizon.

Thank you sir. I think I got a fairly clean mix this week.

The ending got a bit disco-ish, like on a cruise ship high above the planet surface.

Thanks! I think the piano kind of grounds things a bit amongst all the chaos of the space drums.
