Soundcheck 2022

By NWSPR on January 9, 2022 11:59 pm

Hi Everyone! Hope you had a good break and are hanging in there.  I just got the Spitfire BBC Symphony Pack last week so I'm figuring things out with a warm up and soundcheck that uses a few layers of symphonic instruments with guitar, bass, and a couple of free form synth lines from the Moog Grandmother.

Looking forward to hear your tracks.

Wishing you a happy new weekly beats year!

Heck yeah! This is very warming and comfy i like it!

Hey dude!  Dood to hear your tunes again, hope you had a good year.  All the symphonic stuff is sounding good, excited to hear what you do with it this year.  Love that grandmother arp thing going on too.

NWSPR! I missed your inspired music and your harmonica (I hope to hear it again in future tracks)! Perfect intro for the year, I like how it slowly fades as an electronic arp.

Congrats on the Brooklyn film fest last year!
Looking forward to more of your tracks!

Welcome back! Looking forward to hearing more of your stuff this year! Have to echo Kedbreak, I really like that little arp at the end too.

Happy to see you here again this year! Will try to cook some decent track again...

Seems like everything's working, this sounds extremely nice. Great to see you back again for another round heart

This is really well put together for a warmup! Can't wait to see what you do with the new gear. Happy New Year to you too, and best wishes for 2022. Looking forward to hearing your latest!

Welcome back dude! Nice soundcheck; looking forward to more tracks from you this year smile

Hi there. It is always a pleasure to follow your sounds you check out. Everything here is in tune, guitars are grungy and the bass is at the right spot. OK, lets go NWSPR!

Hi again! Very cinematic stuff... i can almost see the credits rolling! Very epic two minutes and you have managed to fit quite a progression and uplifting mood in just under two mintues wink impressive!

"This week, we take a look at one of the industry's leaders in advanced computer technology. This evening we are getting back to Basics, with the Commodore 64 from Commodore."

Great to see you back here again!  This is an impressive soundcheck.  I'm definitely looking forward to what you come up with when you really get rolling.  I can already tell this is going to be a good sound pallete.

very engaging intro – unexpected soundscapes opening up all the time. a lot of variation condensed into 1 and 1/2 minute here!

sounds good, like the arrangement. nice stereo work!

"Hi, this is Drew from NWSPRadio, and you're listening to Soundcheck 2022"

"We're here with the lead singer for NWSPR and he's going to explain to us how he got banned from Chuck E. Cheese.....for life.  More after the break."

*theme music plays*

Great to see you again!

That intro build was perfect my man!, the track gives me vibes of a lead in for like tech-jazz epic or something!

woah sorry - too much soundcheck...

Ah yea Spitfire's BBC pack is a fun instrument to use.    Digging the moog lines with the vibraphones. Great to see you back this year and lookin forward to hearing more!

Oh nice. Love the guitar. This has an Underworld vibe.

Welcome back, good to hear ya again! This song picks me up! That symphony pack should be fun. I was playing around with string sounds this week. Soundcheck accomplished, here we go!

Thanks! Great to dust off the gear after being pretty lazy with recording last year.

Amazing things can happen when you don't have a plan!  Probably a result of no melody being strong enough so I just kept on moving.  Thanks for checking out.  Looking forward to your synth wizardry throughout 2022!

I don't know where you're going with this but I like where it ended with the Commodore 64.  Waiting for an update on the Vic 20 when you have a chance.  Thanks for listening!

I started mostly with the bass and went where it took me.  My bass is my musical divining rod.  Thanks for checking it out!

I don't know what you two are talking about but great to hear from you Drew! And I like this idea of NWSPR radio but was saddened to hear of my restraining order in the now infamous case of C. Cheese vs. NWSPR... that rat bastard!

Thanks man.  I only sprung for the $49 pack so I probably got the last chair cello and a guy on a pan flute.  But we'll make due smile

Thanks for listening. I got a very limited set of strings and want to make sure I soak them in before investing in one of the larger packs.  Fun so far!

Thnx!

Same as last time, really.

I'm almost getting Sims soundtrack vibes from this. Very optimistic sounding, a great way to start the year big_smile
