Big trance music part trois. It was a very busy week.

Composed and arranged on the M8, then into Ableton for some extra work and finishing, though this isn't as finished as I'd like. I find working the M8 with eight tracks is a really great way to get a sorta core-vintage-trance/techno sound to a track, and then I can make everything else grow around that once I'm in the daw.

Mix is a little loud, and the vocals are definitely a little loud, but they are mostly working. Vocals are me, processed into monster-cyber-minotaur oblivion, recorded on my MacBook mic. I really encourage everyone who wants to mess around with vocals to try recording your own and fucking with them till they are unrecognizable. You learn a lot and end up with something very unique. And if you are uncomfortable listening to your own voice, do what I do - throw a massive FX chain on the track after recording so you never have to hear yourself "raw", and then just dial it back to what you want.

I wanna say more trance next week but time is a factor and I have some ambient-horror stuff due for the end of the month so who knows!

that part with the side-chain pumping of the invisible kick is RAD. are you using Trackspacer for that?
vocals are fun too. i can dig the heavily processed sound here, clearly appropriate for the style. but for the record i also really like the sound of your voice in more natural light

Love the cinematic buildup to your vocals Ooof that pad fading in with the combo of your voice is so good! The arps and bass are full of energy and had me grooving along. The transitions/fills are immaculate \m/ oooh that bend up at the end and splash! Excellent work!

That insisting bass is propulsing the track without overpowering it. The high layers add a lot of texture and complexity to keep the mind busy while the head bops to the bass. That break at 2:00 is dreaaaamy.

Big. This is a nice blend of trance with some subtle synthwave revival style accents. Main room business for sure. I guess you have to say main stage now that everything is a festival.

Oh yeah, love when the bass comes in to propel, the synths and texture are great trance vibe. Dig the breakdown with the vox coming in. Totally agree with the fun and great experience of using your own voice and messing with it, lots of fun. Sucker for a good build up and drop, lets go. If I'm nitpicking anything maybe the kick is bit big intense in the beginning before the bass comes. Just popped in my head there. Enjoyed the trip
