Part 3 in the sorta-retro-deep-house-dub-techno-space-cruising-one-night-stand story. Again on the M8, and again missing the dub-techno-ambient mark with a lot of this but I'm not mad at it, retro deep house is great. More vocal fuckery this time, and some slightly more interesting dub-techno chords again using long samples of evolving wavetables. Drums and percussion pretty standard. Pretty sure most of these songs are a little too long but that's what revisiting and radio edits are for.

On other notes - on March 4th at 8pm MST, Cabin Radio in Yellowknife will broadcasting a space-music special, and some of my music from The Pulsar Suite and other albums will be featured! You can listen online at Cabin Radio here.. Obviously I'll hype this again before the date but everything got scheduled this week.

Every week is hell right now. It's just not calming down. Starting to feel cursed.

Nonetheless we journey on. Next week will either be part 4, or possibly an ambient track - I want the Snow for Europa EP to be ready for the radio broadcast, and at least one of my planned tracks are gonna be scrapped, so I might need to write something new.

oh chills on the first "i know somewhere we can go". Another bop!

This one will get my cash. smile It's not super sophisticated but it slaps and puts you in a hypnotic state. This is a less is more lesson.

such a hypnotic groove throughout! loving those wavey synth flares.  Lookin forward to the cabin radio broadcast!

The pads holding the rhythm until the beat really kicks off it classic and never fails to disappoint.
I could listen to stuff like this for days.

feelc like im in ibiza !!! nice track!!

Love this, such a well balanced track! Makes me want to experiment with vocal samples myself big_smile

Too long? Hell with that, I’m here for the extended dance 12” single - did not feel like 6+ minutes.

Love how the beat gets to evolve and get that hypnotic feel like a good dance track should. Shout out to your vocal sampling - great treatment, and love how those lyrics are like a repeated Sex Dancefloor Mantra, pulsing and slithering. Awesome.

fuck yes. this sounds so GOOD. great dance track.
everything you take on has that neon touch. your great ear, attention to detail, and sense of play - even when the mood is more somber. this one is just full on sweaty joy

and congrats again on the radio special!

Great song, really digging the deep grooves. Really cool to hear about your radio feature, will it be recorded? I won’t be able to tune in live but still interested in hearing it.

let's go there! Pulsing 4 on the floor ride. Great details throughout, and great production!

Just kept delivering. I love the deep thrumming bass.

Great sound design on the synth nice and airy and evolving

First drop hit nice. Wouldn’t have blinked if I heard this at the huge club I was at last night

y0 where's the bassdrum from? sample or synthesis? I always end up making the same bassdrum in M8 lol

I'm glad I waited a few weeks after all, I can just do a cool feature on the radio show with all these songs as they fit so well together! haha

I hope your weeks get better (I am still two weeks late, maybe it's already better!) I just had a few bad months and things are looking like they are clearing up in a really good way now, like my boss said "Crossing wood and touching fingers"

That cymbal at the beginning with the heavy reverb suggests some industrial-adjacent territory, but you're quickly steering it back towards house and I gotta say I like what I'm hearing. That dub drone pad is wonderfully rich, could listen to that for days. So when it starts pumping, hell yeah. Good shit!

I like that plan
