Happy with this week, I felt like a few things fell into place for me. Track is in Gm made with the Neutron, Pro-800, TD-3, an Amen break and Renoise to slam it all together. Finally happy with the sound of the breakbeat after working on it for many weeks. I am using Akaizer to timestretch it and doing the tuning, processing and chopping in Renoise. I'm also really enjoying the Pro-800. It is new to me but I have been able to immediately drop it in and it fits nicely. So much more to learn but glad it appears to have been the right choice for me. I also feel more comfortable with the TD-3. An unlock for me this week was to write the acid in Phrygian.

One of my goals this week was to make more space, use fewer elements, and make the composition less busy. I think there is still a lot of room to keep going with that but compared to last week there is definitely progress. Thanks to everyone who comments. I heart you.

oh yeah, this is what I'm talking about. love the hard opening with the speedy acid line. I can really feel the effort you put into the breaks this week, great work!

Gosh I am a sucker for a Phrygian mode, that acid line is so sick! The breaks sound fantastic too. Lots of clarity of sound here, which I think really makes the acid and percussion shine, fantastic track.

Hard work this must have been. It sounds huge.

Glad I could learn the word spoops today. Definitely the one to use here 🤘

Speed run level 10!

We goooooooooin! I would listen to an hour of these breaks and acid lines. Seriously the break sounds album ready.

thank you so much! They are some of my favorite sounds good. i've been working on simplifying so maybe i will try just breaks and acid...maybe a little bass. thanks for the idea.
