I got a new AIO Wolf KSA90 a few weeks ago, and have been looking for an excuse to break it in... and what better excuse than WB.  Nothing super complex on this, just Rob Scallon inspired soft rock slow jam.  Doubled up the KSA90 with the Breath you Hold Guitar Rig 7 preset for the rhythm; the Micheal's Delight preset for the lead; then the Night Session preset on the Scarbee Rickenbacker plugin... and Logic Drummer (Darcy) for the drums.  Kind of a softball this week, but I had a gap between big orchestral projects for school, and wanted to just jam on the guitar a bit.

Smooth guitars. It works. Pleasant listen.

Oooooo, I'm immediately in love with that guitar sound. Very smooth and sexy 80's vibe right out of a coming of age movie. Delightful and mellow jam, even the hand claps keep things feeling organic. I'm still rocking Guitar Rig 5, I need to upgrade when Native Instruments has it's 50% upgrade sale.

Nice rhythm/harmonic guitar! Nice pleasant mix too. guitar solo is also nice, but stuck between minimalist and maximalist - for me it could either go harder with more intensity and fast stuff sprinkled here and there, or more soft and meditative without some filler stuff in between. But the main melody is very nice!

That guitar looks and sounds suh-weet.  Very dreamy vibes and the main guitar melody just soothes nicely.  Especially enjoy the washy strums.  Much like noodles, jams are always enjoyed on da WB smile

I'm glad you like it, it was fun to make.

Soo much of that vibe is just Amaj9 open tuning (E A C# G# B E).  I picked it up from Rob Scallon (he used it on "Mutter", and a couple other things), but I'm guessing he got it from "But the Regrets Are Killing Me" by American Football.  And you know, I'll be honest, I haven't really notice a lot of difference between Guitar Rig 6 and 7... the only reason I have 7 is because it came bundled with a bunch of iZotope plugins... I mean the amp models are nice, and a bunch more presets is never bad, but I don't really use the new FX modules very much, and never use the Looper... so... you know worth a critical look at what it really adds given the price point.

Interesting notes, I may circle back to this one to give it some more polish... I think my first order of business will have to be rewriting the bass part... the farther separated from it the more I don't like it... I don't think it's supporting the rhythm as much as it is competing with it, which once cleaned up might leave more room for the lead... and allow less to be more impactful.

Yeah, it's a pretty rad guitar.  I got one in Purple Burst, with all gold hardware... so pretty... and really a dream to play.  Only took a few hours for that to become my favorite guitar... we'll see if that stays true over the years to come... but it's a pretty strong contender.

nice playing! a new guitar is reason to celebrate

Very nice!

Thanks, and I couldn't agree more... guitars are the hardest piece of gear (that I actually want) for me to justify buying so it was a looooooong internal battle to get this one, and I couldn't be happier with it.

Thanks, and you know I will never get used to seeing cell phone lights in place of lighters at concerts... which might be the most grumpy old man thing I've written this year.

Very calming and soothing :3

WB is kind of showing me that "mellow" is my vibe...

Still loving the vibes on this one.

I'm glad you like it. (probably preaching to the choir, but) It's aways hard to hear the good parts of the things we make.  Listening back to it now though I like it more than I did when I posted it... that may be in no small part to the fact that the headphones I have on at the moment have basically no low end in them. I feel like my grumbles with the bass part pulled my attention away from the guitar. But, I think I'm actually happy with the lead part in the chorus.  I put that G# string through it's paces, but it does have a vibe.
