DEW

By mzunguko on March 15, 2026 6:49 pm

Very few pay attention to the DEW, sitting lightly on the morning grass. There is something mystical, magical about that if you stop and ponder. A little drop of dew full of nothing yet full of everything.

I had no time for this track, nor listening, nor engaging and that I am truly sorry for. All who visit here mean so much to me even though we have yet to break bread, perhaps some day.

I did some guitar, basic TR1000 and digi and some Virus. All put together really rapidly. In some sense this feels like both a closing and an opening. I am taking a break as their is something that requires all my attention. I do hope to post throughout the year and see you all in 2028.

The mix was live recorded 4 tracts as always, pushing buttons to bring the elements in, and then ableton, simple pro-q, and u-he presswork, two plugins on the master that's it. I hope it sounds okay, it was rushed.

I do feel that so much of this community has inspired me to move in this direction. Perhaps one day you'll know why.

The guitar sounds really good on this one.  It has a fantastic tone.  And the overall feel of this is uplifting and positive.  Sorry to hear we won't have you around for a while, but real life takes precedence and you need to attend to what demands your attention.  I hope you'll have a chance to come back this year, but if not, I have very much enjoyed following your musical journey this year and best of luck.

This x 100. The guitar has a warm but powerful presence here. Nice work!

something about that low heavy sound combined with the the guitar conjures such a big feeling.

i always enjoy hearing what you are up to and hope you'll pop back in when you have the capacity.
wishing you all the best as you focus elsewhere for now. thank you for all the music and for listening and giving your feedback and encouragement along the way.

take care, my Friend heart

The mix sounds good to me, with enough saturation to make it warm and enveloping. The guitar sounds lovely, and I love the huge bass sound throughout. Thank you for sharing, and stay well!

Love the sound of that deep and dark synth.  Such a nice combo from the slick drum groove to the sweet guitars.  I hope everything gets sorted for you and you can return soon.  Thank you for all your awesome tunes and comments.  heart

Thank you all so much, it has been a crazy week, major download. I kinda cheated but I had been sitting on this unreleased track from last year. So I fired up the guitar and added a few more tracks to an already massive track I spent way more than a week on, but did add some guitar that I didn't have when I made that track.

It might be confusing, I have a new track this week. I wasn't expecting to get to it so I grab a track from last summer I took a bit of time to master. I added some guitar and re-mastered it. So I hope you enjoy this weeks track if though I kinda cheated.

fwiw, i don't consider that cheating. i did a similar thing for week 12.
the FAQ specifically says:
"Your submission can be a old idea or sketch that was completed *this week.*"

looking forward to hearing it heart

Very lush and spacious, and yet somehow yearning for a melody.
