Keep It Tight and Moody

By myfirstpunksong on April 10, 2022 3:17 pm

One hour Sunday afternoon session whilst the washing machine was doing a round.

Started from a riff that came from jamming with a friend who introduced me to WB on Friday. I guess his version will be up soon!

What went well:
- Trying new instruments. Got the synth out, fun>
- Doing a loop/building track. Enjoy these and its kinda more straightforward.
- Recorded a track without plugging anything in. Just acoustic guitar through laptop speakers. Quick and dirty style.
- Had fun getting in the groove and lost in sounds and playing with sounds, keyboard typing.

Ideas for future:
- Finish lyrics for Berliner!
- Play guitar everyday!

'til next week.

Mucho love!

Lead guitar-wise, I think this is a new high watermark. Sounds really clean, nice job. Will have to go check out the other version. Keep it up!

good punk stuff!

I really like that lone acoustic guitar intro and then how you add the distortion and do that nice fifths harmony. Sounds really nice and dark. Great feel to this one!

hmm funny, covers aren't allowed and I don't remember giving you permission to use this riff... lol

Thanks! Collabing gave me a fresh starting point and new approach so this was cool. Nice to have a different input and keep it fresh (and tight and moody)

Thanks. I like to add ambient recording like that sometimes, for added contrast or dynamic. Like you start in one space, then just jump over into totally different territory. Thanks for the comment, I may play with this a bit more in future. smile

OK, I get it. You're butthurt cause you didn't get a feat. Next time
And... do you really wanna play the 'covers aren't allowed' card? tongue
