ALL FEEDBACK ON SONGWRITING, PERFORMANCE AND PRODUCTION IS WELCOME smile

Alright a messy one to get back in the mix.
I've made a deal to keep up my weekly beats until the end of the year so I'll be here, here on out.

This one started a month or two ago, shelved it, and decided to finish a version for this week.
Finished in a ~2 hour session Sunday evening with just vocals to do, many first takes, lyrics written on the fly, plenty of different takes stiched together in a scramble. Didn't really mix it.

Pretty rough placeholder but there are some bits and ideas which I think are pretty cool. I kinda like the ending.

WWW
Back, baby.

EBI
Some more/cooler leads
Better mixed
More time for vocals/lyrics
Backing vocals

Keep coming back.

See ya'll next week

Glad you’re back! And damn, what a track to come back with. You had me from the very first riff, and it built so well from there. Vocal style and treatment was on point and that ending was epic. Fantastic work.

Ah now that's a warm welcome back. Thank you for listening and your kind words!

Rock on!

Not necessary bad, but we are really not used to not have the vocals on the center. I hear it is double tracked which is cool but the first pass I really hear it louder on the right. Maybe slam just a bit more of compression on both tracks, maybe just a bit of stretch edit to tighten up that? Or maybe not, what do I know, this is rock so it doesn't have to be super polished.

Really like those guitars, the vocal melodies are super cool and complement the track well.

Yeah transition with next track displayed me that your track is not too loud, but the balance itself sounded good to me.

Just a little less than 2 months to go!

Thanks for the feedback here, useful. Yes maybe it is a bit distracting with vcoals heavier on one side. Noted smile Still a rookie when it comes to basic elements of mixing but I will try figuring out the compression.

What is a stretch edit? Yes doesn't need to be super polished, but I'd like to learn how to polish it so it's up to my discretion whether to have it messier or not.

Thanks for listening and your thoughtful comment. Look forward to being here over the next 2 months!

yeaaaaaaah! nice to see (hear) you back.
total ripper

Terrific!

I think it might be effective to completely ditch the vocal treatment after the first verse...but what do I know.

I really like it though, great riffs and ending!

Coming back to this late, but just wanted to say thank your for your ears and kind words!

As patchwork as you claim it is, it's quite consistent.
