this track is basically a journal of a synthesizer i was making on the daisy pod all week. trying to get it working so I could make my weekly beat with it, recording as I went. Then stitching together into this track.

distorted percussion sounds, digital whines, textures, vocals, weird crow caws, thats all my thing

Drums are SQ80v and the cubase's built in drum machine.

52 weekly beats! LETS GOOO

these are some dope sounds! Specially loving those crow sounds. I've got a daisy pod too, haven't made anything this cool with it though. Hopefully you'll share more on dirtywave #diy-dsp!

The Daisy looks like a fun platform. 480 MHz is sure enough to make interesting sounds. And the track is a great demo of that. Fantastic sound design!

Congratulations on never breaking the streak in 2024. WB24 is over! We did it!

Maybe I should do a monthly treat for the pod on #diy-dsp. Every few weeks I add some small thing to a monorepo and post it. I do want to do more with it, an now that i have the ST debugger it's pretty easy to work with.

#diy-dsp intimidates me lol.

Honestly, the shit this year threw at me I wasn't sure if I was going to get it done.

All the sound fx going on is so sick! Makes it feel very cinematic. Feels like I'm in the middle of a sci fi war. When the snare kicks in, mm! Very dark and psychedelic. Congrats for finishing out the year!!

This feels like a tunnel through space and time that ends up in 2025.

Oh man, I'm feeling really strong "decades into the dystopian apocalypse" vibe here, this is awesome!!! Gritty, dirty, almost industrial in a couple of corners. But the main bass synth line has strong Terminator energy. Also, those distorted-ass vocals in the end? SUPER eerie! Hahahahaha.... Damn, I'm a big fan here.
It was a huge pleasure making music side by side (and that one time actually WITH) you, dude smile
Wishing you a fantastic 2025!!! heart

sci fi war... two factions simultaneously capture a large asteroid that is passing through the solar system and learn that it's made of absolutely pure copper, down to the last atom. how could such a thing exist? they begin mining it and the fighting starts as each faction starts to unravel the mysteries.

I was aiming for spring, but here we are stuck in icy January.

it's so funny, after this massive creative project I get the postpartum blues. i think it's going to take a few weeks before I can look back with any satisfaction.

except for the collab track which just went off with no issues or compromises. meant to be!

oohhh this is so ominous and spooky. i love how the beat slowly creeps in.
really cool and intriguing sound design.
as much as i want to stay optimistic, this feels like a very appropriate soundtrack as we head into 2025.

thanks for sharing your music this year, take care!
