Weeklybeats is a 52 week long music project in which artists compose and publicly release 1 song a week for the entire year.
Starting January 1st 2024 GMT each participant will have one week to upload one finished composition. Any style of music or selection of instruments are welcomed and encouraged.

Last minute decided to do this, so first week submission uploaded in all its rough glory, relaxed play with my two synths.

Definitely the makings of a good track here. As you suggest, needs more stuff, but there's some good hooks to work with.

Hmm, let's see. I'd start by putting the chords down an octave perhaps, maybe introduce some variations along the way; replace the drums with a more traditional kit.
I think variation will help you the most, add some extra 8ths and 16ths at random.

Completely agree with the variation, this was a bit rushed.
Thanks for the suggestion on the chords, will have a play and see how that effects it.
