FORIGI

By mukti on May 18, 2024 7:11 pm

This week I tried to make a bit of a club-like track, similar to my previous track CERBOLAVO. It was a bit of a quick one, but I spent a lot of time messing with tables instead of adding more variation to the track. As a result, like many other tracks I've uploaded, its a bit repetitive! I do like the overall sound, and I think playing with the tables will help in the future since I tend to avoid them.

Any feedback is appreciated!

On Saturday, I mistakenly saved over the track I had been working earlier in the week. Since my original work was essentially deleted, I called this track FORIGI, the Esperanto word for "delete."

Cool track, it didn't seem too repetitive... tbh tables (especially uneven HOP'd ones / complex HOP structures combined with table speed 00) are great to break monotony... another good trick is to have a free running LFO on your main synth so that there would be movement throughout without having to do much haha

Sounds like you are learning good habits on M8! Namely *use tables!!* and, well... save multiple versions of your track wink

The sound at 1:19 is really cool!

It's alright, the kick needs more kick perhaps

For sure - I'm saving more chips now when I decide to move on to another track 😅

I'll have to go back and find the file when I have my m8 on me. I *think* that sound is just a sped up and sliced sample that I found in a sample pack on the dirtywave discord.

Yeah, I agree. I've been trying to mix better and bring my kick up more (in later weeks) because it sometimes feels to flat.

From my point of view, however, I think it's quite alright. I really like the scream, too.
Such is the effect of plurality.
