Hi there - welcome to week 8. I'm glad you're here!

This week I made a cheesy chiptune track.

Chiptune is not really my thing, but I think you nailed it! I enjoyed this.

Most of all I really enjoy the "little stops" you introduce around 1:47. They feel great!

face the square wave!  fun track, really bouncy/happy!  i can totally see this on lsdj or in various gameboy games.

Well, this is a very successfully carried out challenge that you gave yourself. Sounds great!

Aww thanks for the nice comment smile. I was trying to play around a bit with stopping the world in a busier section of the track to get some space in. I think I'd like them to be a bit more dramatic in the future.

It's scary! But I shall face it. Appreciate the listen smile

excellent challenge and a successful one! the drums are tight and groovy and love those lil stutters warps you did with the bass.  The shatter effect too so cool.  Nice work!

The slides in the second synth riff a super cool.

I could imagine this playing while a C64 game was loading.

This is awesome! Good on you for challenging yourself, and I'd say you're well on your way to joining that list of greats you shared smile

Thank you! Shatter is a low-bit noise sound with a sharp attack and long tail smile

heart thank you! LSDJ doesn't have a ton of articulation effects, but it does do slides pretty well.
