Morning Chlorophyll

By MRDRCAT on August 18, 2024 11:40 pm

So the theme was supposed to be "Botanica" and I was so confused I just did this borderline ambient thing. The clicky part is me twanging a metal ruler along a coffee table. The strings part is a piano sample. The low frog croak that comes in a few times after the halfway point is a manipulated sample of the noise I got from holding a Soma Ether against an aspen tree. Up is down, left is right, etc. I barely squeaked by this week!

I mean, the tree counts as botanical, doesn’t it? Also, themes? Wait what?

I really like this, it’s organic and huge. The ruler sample is great! When you said ambient in the description, I wasn’t expecting something as musical as this…it’s a journey.  Huge brass-like tones are awesome, and really fill it out. Really, excellent collection of tones overall.

Also, holy shit the SOMA Ether sounds crazy and amazing. Never heard of that before, but I love it.

The cacophony of sounds is at the same time confusing and beautiful. This track confuses and makes me happy at the same time, if that makes any sense 😅

love the story about how the sound elements were created, so fun to listen along with that background. Very cool layers. A sonic journey!
