Much appreciated! Just a lot of probability and a little bit of randomization on a simple beat actually, gives the illusion of a way more complex beat.

Turing machines?

dig it!

A concept for sequencing notes based on looping strings of data using analog shift registers. Loosely based off of the concept of an idealized computational method, called a Turing Machine.

I'm just curious what that looks like, I know what a turing machine is quite well, just don't really see how you make music with it
do you just program the entire note sequence in brainfuck?

This is the device I use, which actually is called the "Turing Machine", which just needs a clock source, and creates strings of bits, which can be quantized or unquantized and used however you want, rhythmically or melodically. This name is now just synonymous with this novel analog shift-register sequencing style.

huh, that's not confusing at all

nice modular beat! nice to read about the turing stuff. I have tried it but didn't know enough about grooves. tbh still don't. I might get back to it some time, this stuff is inspiring!

Very interesting sounds there.

Groovy machines. smile

love the organic sound the drums have.  Excellent kick that cuts thru the percussive elements so nicely. Some sweet Autechre vibes throughout.

Cool sound design with the dry drums and the juicy ambience. Fresh IDM vibes!

great sound design, just so good to listen to

very good!
