Playing around with something a bit more techno this week.

Pretty happy with how this came out but I'm not completely happy with the bass sound. Also, it really lacks punch. This is something I really admire about a lot of the other M8 tracks. They really hit harder with the loudness, and sound a bit fuller overall. Something to work on I guess.

Got some good advice from 0x_colt last week on how to implement sweeps etc on the M8. Had some success this time.

Nice job. This one definitely has more "movement" than the last track between sections. I especially like that breathy vocal chop intro. Sounds like a Clams Casino track or something. Nice panning too.

If your tracks are lacking punch (which I don't really find that this track is not punchy, by the way) maybe try playing with the limiter settings on each instrument and on the master limiter itself. I think the only thing I would say isn't really face-smackin' is the clap. Kick is punchy enough for the vibe, unless you want a more prominent click or distortion. You could probably make that clap distorted or give it a little more oomf.

Did you use the "pluck" wavsynth for one of the leads in this? It sounds great with the overlapping notes. I need to give that a try.

nice beat! nice to read about how to make things more punchy etc. I didn't think it was an issue on first listen, but I can agree with 0x_colt about the clap. I like the movements and panned guitar lines and vocals.

v harsh ending! could be even longer heh, tho maybe at that point it needs a bridge or smth

The flute sound and guitar play nicely together, I dig

I hear a decent amount of punch! I love the bassline and that vocal airy vocal sample, and when the plucked part hits it's just right. The whole thing has a great driving vibe to it.
Not that I'm a master at adding punch, but I've started adding a fast AHD envelope to the AMP instrument setting (sometimes Cutoff too) and playing with that to give the initial hit a little crackle. No idea if it works, but I do it. smile

Very nice vibes, great progression

Just slam the volume up in the m8 smile

Very driving. Not a dull moment from start to finish.

NASA's Gerudo space program's going well it sounds like.

Thank you! Yes, the pluck is one of the few 'polyphonic' options.

Thanks, yes, ran outa steam at the end and didn't have time to put a proper ending together.

I know I already commented on this but I just wanted to say I really like this song a lot!
