World Never Ends, Maple

By miraclemiles on June 21, 2020 10:26 pm

I started this song thinking about my new baby niece, Maple. What do babies like? Not heavy metal? Simple melodies I think. Created the music with her in mind. I thought about adding some voices to it. Then I remembered a recording of my son when he was about 7 or 8. He sang this song about the world never ending. I think it came from our talks about being scared to go to bed at night. I told him going to bed is good. You get to dream, then when you wake up you get to have a wonderful day again. So I added this recording to the Maple song, and it seemed to work. This was fun to do on Fathers day. I wish all children could go to bed at night with a smile and the promise of a bright, beautiful day to look forward to. Until then, yes we can create happy songs and be as positive as we can. And raise our children to be good citizens. But there is more work to do.

Here's his words:

When I wake up,
When I wake up it never ends
And I go here,
And the world never ends.
Its only day,
Or its only night.
It never ends

When I wake up
I notice something.
The world never ends.
So we can do everything,
Everything,
Everything that we want.
That we can do,
We can do it all again
Over again

Ha ha... Heavy metal, it's what kids crave smile  I think you struck the right tone here. Beautiful positive song that I'm sure will bring Maple many happy dreams to come! Love the samples!

happy music for happy people. great stuff.

Very cute! reminds my a little bit of what I did with https://weeklybeats.com/djippy/music/dors-gaspard. Well done.

A great message and vocal performance and the music works perfectly.  You could probably make a fantastic kid's album if you wanted to.

Haha, this is great, so wholesome. I think the first melody I remember getting into was Pachelbel's Canon. But it might have been "You Can't Always Get What You Want". I'm not sure which came first. It definitely wasn't Dark Side of the Moon, that scared the crap out of my 5-year-old brain.

Cheers thanks! That's awesome feedback, I may just have to make a kids album. I have my peanut butter song from last WB, I'm on the way!

haha! I just played Dark Side for kids, they were like what?? I was like you gotta listen to this! All good firsts there ... my daughter just placed pachelbel for recital, as you may know, and it was so weird it put that maroon 5 song in my head, then I realized oh, they used the same chords and melody! No it's hard to separate the two ... But really their words aren't too bad in that song so could be worse, but it's maroon 5 so ....
