Life's a Remix

By miraclemiles on May 27, 2018 10:44 pm

Inspired by my description for last weeks track, Orange Drink's comment and my reply to the comment: the idea being that we take the elements, the notes, the rhythms, the good the bad that we're handed and we cut it up into something that resembles a life. At least thats the hope. Or maybe everything is predetermined by a Cat God.
Riffed on that idea in one vocal improv take this week, laid down some tracks in 12/8 also in that one ession, then of course, did some remixing on it and here we go again.

Very groovy big_smile I like the rhodes/organ a lot!

Started moving on my own to this one, that is one hell of a groove, especially at the start heart

the song sounds to me progressiv and futuristic. Animal collective could not do it better.

The power of the Cat God is strong with this one.  Lots of strong rhythmic passages and crazy vocals.

It's more a series of sequels.

What a wild ride this song is by the way.

Oh, this is great fun! But I think Devieus is right about it being sequels.

Great vocals and awesome groove on this one, great mantra to live by

WOAH, the epic OD shoutout in the description!  YOWZERS.  I went back to last week's comment nervously, hoping I didn't say something stupid.  wink

This track actually sounds like the image.  A pizza spinning rapidly with a cat meowing every so often.  Also WAIT does that cat have a RUN D.O.G. sticker on the turntable?  Hilarious.

Actually, I think life is a remix, especially if you think of our genetic material being a remix of our Mom and Dads' etc.  But maybe plants are sequels?

super fun!
