Coconuts for the Queen

By miraclemiles on May 3, 2026 11:58 pm

I think the two movements of this one are: 1 - procuring the coconuts, 2 - presenting the coconuts to the queen.
I have decide coconut is my favorite word of today. The word of the day where when it's said we all scream (anyone remember Pee Wee's Playhouse?).
I have coconut milk in my coffee, and that will do. I'm queen for today.

Took last week off. Started something last Sunday. Wasn't feeling the motivation, kind of made my head hurt. Nice spring day. Went outside instead. It's what I needed more.

This week I had some rhythms in my head. Got ideas down on Saturday motivated me to finish on Sunday. Also thought about going outside instead, but I'm glad I finished. Feels good. Still time to go outside later. Really enjoyed just playing around, doing whatever, letting it happen and not trying to make it into normal song. The Ableton project is set to 6/8, but I kept tapping all these parts on the Push that don't really align to the grid perfectly, and had odd bar lengths. Getting weird and flowing feels good. Coconuts. Aaah!

Looking forward to catching up on your music this week, let's go.

Loving the tropical feels and the funky bass.  It IS fun to say... coco nut! Glad to hear ya back! \m/

It feels like a demented island vacation.  Everything is going slowly off the rails in paradise.  I do like me some coconut.  I don't know if you drink sodas, but have you tried the creamy coconut Dr. Pepper?  It's limited edition, but it's back for the first time in a couple years and I think I'm getting mildly addicted to it.

I hope the queen liked the coconuts.

It's like a dream sequence from Mario Sunshine.

Glad you could grind this one out, the unpredictable nature of your tracks always keep them interesting and fun.
