Ayo PIco

Fantasizing about dancing in a warmer climate right about now.

Inspiration for this track from this Ableton  "Pico" pack: https://www.ableton.com/en/blog/pico-new-global-beat/ - sounds like the PIco sound systems know how to party.
Sliced some of the percussion loops from that pack and made new beats, and used the Accordian instrument, and loving it. Added some 505 and 909 drums for bumpity bumps. Keys are some Ableton instruments on Wurly, Roads and MKl1 presets, jammed the parts on Push, made loops, bounced and layered.  Vocals into Kaoss pad and chopped. In the key of Gb Super Locrian, thanks to the Push. Sound like super hero. I had to google that one.
Feeling the motivation fade a little for making tracks this week, but another one down, and more to go!

I like the drums, especially the flangey part at the beginning.

What's the story with the mysterious pitched up voice about 55% of the way through the track? My 2018 vote is for More Weird Voices!

Some very cool rhythms in here and have to second the love for the strange voices that pop up.

Funky and funky. And dancing spuds. ::)

Actually really into the accordion instrument the most here.  Gives it this world dance festival feel in my mind.  That potato is everything.

Time for summer!

Swinging.

Thanks for listening and comment, good to see you back this week. Voice is me, pitched up and chopped. I like that vote. I think I've fit my voice (usually made weird) into all tracks this year, and will continue!

Thanks, this week was all about rhythm I guess. I'll keep doing strange voices for sure.

Yes, thanks! I love that accordian, going to use it a lot more. I definately have a "world dance festival" side, sometimes wonder if I should indulge that more. Potato potato.
