Metamorphoseas

By Minnamari on March 12, 2026 3:07 pm

Scratchy voice because of a flu, but it also brings some depth I wish I could keep after the flu is over big_smile
Just doing a quick recording with the ukulele this time because of said flu.

Would like to do a recording with better sound levels (sorry for the loud parts where the volume blows out) but again, this is all my energy permits this week. Added a thick reverb because I feel it fits with the Metamorphoseas energy.

This is that weird kind of a song that just came through me, I don't know from where. Maybe I was just meant to bring this message to you. First I caught the words, just had to write them down. And then the chords came the next day as I was strumming on the ukulele with my kids. And I knew these were the chords for this song.

Metamorphoseas are the seas of change. And we're all surfing along on them. That's all I know...

Lyrics

Metamorphoseas
Are restless again
A butterfly's flutter
Can make it rain

Whatever you're calling
Will hear your wail

It shifts the sands it sets the scene it wakes you from this senseless dream
To come home again

Metamorphoseas
Know your name
Not the one these humans gave you
But the one that shines through
Metamorphoseas
Know your real name
Not the one that these humans gave you
But the one that shines true

Whatever you're calling
Will hear your wail

It calls you out it wrings you dry it reigns the storm and the eye inside it sets the table it shifts the scene
It doesn't care where we have been
it...
It calls you out it wrings you dry it reigns the storms and the eye inside it sets the table it shifts the scene

It doesn't care where we have been

It just knows

Where we go

Now

Thank you, I appreciate it smile

and thank YOU for the reminder smile

a lovely soothing sound between the chord progression and your vocal melody smile very calming indeed!

This is simple and sparse, but all the more poignant and beautiful because of it. Your vocals fit the tone of the song perfectly.

I think this is my favorite from you! Adding this to favorites

another hauntingly beautiful thing!

I also really enjoyed flicking through your digital collages while listening. I love that you're a fully rounded artist and are bringing a lot of stuff together on your site.

bravo! 👏

When I think of haunting sadness ukelele is not what generally comes to mind. Beautiful!

Love the title and love the song, surfing the seas of change is a great evocative metaphor.

nice one! sad melancholy in the chords and melodies and the singing! you are really bringing us into your universe in a very raw and direct way. thanks for sharing! feel better soon!

A very nice song. Get well.
