My best tracks from 2023 are up at https://madroneradio.bandcamp.com/album/iterations. The tracks range from chiptune to downtempo and even the odd string quartet.

Ooh nice, those 1:40-1:50 changes made me think of Cosmo Sheldrake

Nice! And given that introduction, I’m looking forward to hearing the full range of your compositions this year!

Lovely, very Daniel Plainview

Really dug the satisfying feeling you get as everything runs along together around 01:50

This is excellent. I love all the scene changes. How was this made?

Thanks all! I composed the notes midi using Dorico on the ipad, then imported that into Ableton. The strings are Expressive E's Arche physical modeling vst, with midi cc played in using their nifty touche controller to control the vibrato and bow pressure / expression. I don't really have the hang of the vibrato yet, but something to work on this year.

I liked what I got hear so far. When the weather gets cold, my Internet gets going so as soon as it comes back, I’ll get to hear the rest of it. Thanks for your comment about my piece.

Such nice intermingling lines. Very impressed by how well the 2 independent lines work together.

Especially love the interplay and the sense of anticipation in the small run from 0:37 to 0:42.

If played live, I think this beautiful arrangement would really shine even more

Wonderful dreamy piece
Thank you for that!

how nice, i did not expect any classical pieces here, this was a nice surprise!  i really like the deeper (cello-like?) strings, those are always fun.

Excellent instrumentation, bravo.
Guess now I gotta check out that album.

That was a gorgeous change of pace. I've wanted to tinker with strings but I have shied away from on account I feel like I would make them sound like shite. 😅

Great track, very bright and cinematic.

Interesting juxtaposition of harmonic progressions and dissonance. Fine melody and counter melodies.
