Bad Things

More love for the Dirtywave M8 wavsynth engine. I'm beginning to feel like I "get it" now. Used 5 tracks to create this, with a 6th doing volume/fx duty.
Sort of a throwback to old vertical euro-shmups, like Xenon 2 Megablast. I imagined a boss encounter, or perhaps a final level as I composed this.
For once, I've mixed the stems instead of going for the M8's mix. I felt like the tracks needed a bit of adjustment/EQ cleanup to separate them a little & I used some Izotope stuff to get me most of the way there.
