cool tune. i would focus on mixing technique and bringing some clarity to the sound. what gear are you using for this?

this is purely an in-the-box tune, chowkick,khz one,ymck 8-bit,korg triton and chipsounds. you're right, i was having a load of mixing issues, i was drowning it in verb (deelay and some valhalla stuff) and couldn't reign it in. i'm not used to using verbs anymore smile

soumds like your kick and bass are competing for the same frequencies. maybe high pass the bass a bit?
yes, reverb can muddy a mix like no other! judicious use on certain freq bands helps, along with sidechain ducking the verb wet/dry so that it leaves the attack un-effected and comes up on the tail end of the sound.
