full moon

By levelcapybara on November 24, 2024 8:29 pm

Just five weeks left now. Time sure flies, eh? big_smile

Shout out to everybody who's participated this year. Your music and encouragement have been much appreciated in a strange and stressful year. heart

So, Happy Week 47! Finish strong, WB!

That initial rhythm jolted me a little, and then that sweeping melody you started at :17 built and then just soared. The texture gives it a feel of cinematic steampunk flight smile  Epic.

killer deep bass. Love that mysterious progression. Louder drums, they sound great, just not loud enough!! This sounds so big and full. So many cool elements going on. Certified banger. Favoriting.

It feels like a beautiful journey, I enjoyed it.

Thank you for sharing so many inspiring tracks. This awesome song belongs in a spy movie. Great scenery.

Ok this one is actually just crazy... The chord progression is so counterintuitive to me but sounds great and the syncopated rhythm of the melody was also very surprising initially but totally works. The shape/movement of the melody is really satisfying too.

soaring track, and that bass! shout out to YOU. grateful for all your music i've gotten to experience this year

love the feel of the strumming synth melody.  It has a dark and hopeful Reznor vibe to it as well.  The drums really make it sound powerful too.  It's def been a crazy year but so glad to hear your music each week! heart

Thanks for listening! Fair point about the drums - could've mixed them more aggressively in retrospect.

Thanks! That's so often the way I feel about your music, by the way. wink

Thanks! I'm trying to expand the kinds of harmonies / rhythms / timbres I work with this year, so I'm glad to hear things are coming together okay.

Thanks for listening! Glad to have heard your music each week too. Definitely came away this year with some new favorite Tone Matrix tracks. big_smile

Massive awoo energy, very nice vocal usage
- Ebrit

we just had a full moon yesterday, i am a big "moon" person and always note the moon phases.

might be my imagination but i feel like i am hearing slight unwanted distortion in the master?  i am listening on headphones but could be me being weird. 1:41 but you might have light distortion on the drums?

really enjoying the vocals

Thank you! Would love to start incorporating vocals more going forward. Maybe that'll be a 2025 new year's resolution.

Awesome! I tend to lose track myself but I like getting out to see full moons when they happen. It's magical stuff.

I'll have to go back and check for distortion / clipping. Thanks for the heads-up.
