Void Goblins

By LeBernd on October 6, 2024 10:04 pm

Started out the week with a title - "Full Void, No Rent" (courtesy of fellow Weekling eleventhstage)
Ended up way more high energy, jittery and mischievous than I anticipated and adjusted accordingly. Musically, this is a bit of a half baked mess, but I'm a little proud of some of the sound design here. A new first: took the last part, rendered it, and then played the sample in parallel to the original section to do some gritty processing on it and fatten up the section as a whole.

Oh man, those inhuman clicks and stuff at around 1:20 sound so alien and coooooool!!!!! Such a fun breakdown right after that as well. I'm happy to hear these weird explorations are yielding cool fruit!

Thank youuuu! smile It takes a lot of time and effort for comparably meager results in terms of volume, but I've found something "complete" but uninspired/uninspiring way worse. Only problem is judging accurately in the moment of creation...

that extra gritty processing you performed added a lot of cool texture (to my ears)! cool to read a bit about your process, although much of it goes over my head.
cheers!
