Dos de Mayo

Going back on the road after a long and very cozy period at home. I expect to be away from home for a couple of weeks, and this week was full or preparations. Not much time to make music.

This one is kind of an emergency cheat. Track was composed last year during my State Holiday (el Día de la Comunidad de Madrid), hence the name. Track was almost finised but as you can hear, the arrangement is quite dull. Nothing much special happens.

I master it and tried to add some stuff, but sadly could not get away from the overall "meh" feeling. The arps came from my beloved Yamaha RM1x...

Something is missing, but I don't know what it is.

Tomorrow will be a very very long day. I'm going to bed.

Lots of love to all of you, all around the world.

Glad you enjoyed the vibes, Lasko !!! Thanks for listening smile

Chill vibe is right, enjoying the reverb on the percs. Loove the watery plucks coming in halfway. Very enjoyable. Good luck in your travels!

Thanks a lot for the good wishes, 2haf. I'm now answering you from the quiet snowy mountains in the north of Spain. Arraving here last night was a tiny little adventure smile

I'm glad you dig the beat. I'd took any advice you have to add some movement and interest to the arrangement.

Slick laid back groove and love the sound of that deep bass line.  Sweet arp that opens up midway too.  Hope it's been a good getaway!

Well, it is been pretty busy these last days, including an average of 2 or 3 hours of phone calls every day and plenty of paperwork. I wish it would be some fancy "writer's block" quiet retreat, but I'm here at work with the fire department and their helicopters smile

Thanks a lot for the good wishes. I'm glad you dig the groove, Eric smile

Love the vinyl crackle on the drums and the reverb on the snare, the bass has a great groove, the arps add a nice change in the second half, a great rescue of a beat (I had to rely on that last week).  Hopefully you will get some downtime this week.

More into ketchup myself, but these are some tasty synths.
Have you considered guitars?

Maybe someday... I still can't play guitar smile I'd love to, though

I'll see about adding some in a later week.

The week is this week.

the changeup @ 1 min is very nice
