The Machine God

By Kedbreak136 on October 6, 2024 12:12 pm

Industrial beats inspired by Frontline Assembly, some Gregorian singing and other glitch samples. Shake, let it stir a little and serve ice cold, with a pinch of salt and a hint of lemon.

the breathing breakdown is legit. the whole thing has a big, we just walked into the wrong place in night city vibe. love it.

The chanting is dope, fits the vibe of the track perfectly.  Well done.

The percussion and synth lines in this are sooo tight and working in all the right ways, especially those builds around the 1 minute mark at at 3 minutes just for the ending crescendo. The low drone foghorn like sounds in the background and the sorta filtered scrape add so  much texture and depth.... and I enjoy the Gregorian chants but I'm so in love with the rest I almost don't need them! This is fantastic. And so completely on point for Frontline Assembly. Awesome track!

This belongs into a movie. It is crazy how your tracks produce the images of intense sceneries with a few subtle samples. This must deal with something really big and dark. I serve it with crosses and garlic, because of the vampires.

Damn, this was really badass. The percussion (especially how the 2s and 4s hit) is super nice!!! Dark, atmospheric and full of personality. This is AWESOME.

Love the FLA influence throughout.  You achieved that full industrial synth sound they do so well.  When the big drums kick in with that lead synth ooof hail yais! \m/  That synth wails on some of those notes so powerful!  I like the pulsing outro effect too smile

I like how some of the sounds (not sure if they're low chants or something else) kind of sound like there's some sort of monster lurking nearby.  But the music has this uplifting heft to it that I see it as sort of the hero preparing to fight off the mighty creature.  And the fullblown chanting just adds a sense of epicness to it.

It's so fun to come back to weekly beats after time off. You have such a unique sound. It's very energetic.

I quite like the transitioning in the different parts.

that beat @ 2:50 knocked me out of my chair
what a JOURNEY!!

Not to be confused with the god machine, of course.
Really good beat with really nice elements, you make the omnissiah proud.

Nothing wrong with a Frontline Assembly inspiration, and sure, that beat is EBM from the get-go! I went a little bit in a similar direction in W40, although no gregorian chants in mine big_smile And this glitchy guitar/piano combo? Exquisite!

Your track's very cinematic and would fit the project theme I was working with. Excellent job!

Love that percussive synth line, solid groove. yeah the chanting is so cool. cool track, I can see the disciples praying to the machine god, and dancing a little too.

Yes, that's kind of the vibe I wanted to create. Definitely not the place to spend your early Saturday morning.  Thank you!

Thank you! I wanted to see if I could get that weird mix of scifi, grimdark, medieval stuff. There is wargame called warhammer 40k and I wanted to make a track that reminds me of it.

Yes good catch on the fog horns! Those are real horns recordings (not mine but still cool!). Gregorian chants are great right! Oh I had forgotten about this track of the late 80s that made a big hit with electronic music and gregorian chants, by Enigma. I think they have inspired me...

Thank you, this comment is very kind as I'm trying to achieve this type of scenery. Crosses and garlic are a good idea!

Yup, big FLA fan here, their approach always takes me to outer space. I am glad you enjoyed the wailing synth, I was not too sure of some accents but let them in to have some more organic fuckups.

There is indeed a low guttural voice like layer to add a sinister atmosphere to the track. I like that you took a feel of uplifiting atmosphere from it though, I can see that. smile

Something is sleeping under Mars, it should not be awakened.
