Quiet

By Kedbreak136 on May 17, 2026 5:20 am

I did not have much time this week and did this track on Sunday noon. I enjoyed some good time with friends in a sunny park on Saturday and love the May weather, when it starts getting hot. This makes me want to go to the beach, hence the intro of the sea foley. I added a couple of haws sounds because the local beach where i go to has a lot of hawks, always on the look to steal some food.

I plugged the guitar and did this very simple improv, looking more for textures than interesting melodies or sounds. This was fun, and a good way to do a quick one.

Definitely gives strong beach vibes.  The wave sound effects obviously contribute to that, but the guitar has a nice warm and somewhat watery texture to it that really gives me chilled out sunny day feels.

Oh, there's the hawk smile what a lovely track, thank you. I especially like the chimes

so dreamy & warm. pls tell yr hawks i said "hi"
might have to loop this for a bit heart

post script: i did loop this for a bit. added some magic to this monday morning

wait a minute, that's not quiet, that's music
good music

Scuse me while i setup a hammock over here... Love the chimes that come in.  The guitar soars above the tide heart Excellent work!

Oh this is lovely. The wash of guitars paired with the wash of water is a perfect combination. The birds and bells were a nice ambient touch. This put a smile on my face heart

Love the light distortion on that guitar. That sounnd is so beautifully simple and satisfyingly rich. heart
This is amazing. Well done Kedbreak. big_smile

Very relaxing!

Oh c’est super smooth, j’aime beaucoup la guitare bien posee et les textures en arriere plan. Magique

Must be the spring weather, lots of lovely warm tracks I'm hearing this week. I like how everything is mixed, so much space for each sound to breathe and relax.  Agree with jwh, can play this one on repeat.  Those Japan summer's are brutally hot, so enjoy the milder weather while you can.

Very dreamy and I love the hawks! There's a great texture here that really sounds like I might hear this at a distance and follow the sound and find you playing through a little amp on the beach, its uniquely "real" that way, lovely little improv heart

Waves and quiet guitar notes!? Are you trying to put my to sleep lol? Love this

The sound of the waves on the beach instantly lowered my stress levels. This is dreamy and really relaxing.

Ah yes good ear, I did add some chimes here and there, to sprinkle some magic. And of course hawks (hide your sandwich).

Thank you. Let's get a hammock and some mint/lemon drinks with a lot of ice!

Then mission accomplished! I am glad I conveyed the sense of summer in the air.

I must say I really loved that effect (from guitar rig 7) and then went to town with it. It's pretty sensitive to attack, as you could ear sometimes it picks some of the harder notes and will play an octave higher along with it. I like exploring guitar textures! Thank you for your comment.

Yes indeed, the summer is coming. We'll soon have the rainy season here in Japan but after that, 2+ months of obscene heat. But this also means SURF TIME, so all is not bad. smile

Maybe you also heard that other guitar that I buried in the mix, which is a sample of a slide guitar that sounds a bit like a sliding pedal chord. Very cool effect, but i'll just credit the sample maker. Thank you for your comment!

Thank you everyone for the kind comments. heart

Very sweet guitar tone.  Great use of reverb and sounds like heavy compression which suits this.  Not sure if the peaking audio is intentional or not but I kind of like it.   smile

Nice work!
