Alcubierre Warp Drive

By Kedbreak136 on January 11, 2026 12:50 am

I have been buzzing with stress this week and could not focus on much really. But here's a track. Not super inspired but I guess I got used to all the bells and whistles to take an half baked idea to a charming pig. It did take quite a lot of lipstick.

2026 coming at all of us hard on Week 2, huh? Still a cool and fun track though, I wouldn't have known otherwise that you weren't full of inspiration at the time of making it. I think my favorite section is the 1:03 through 1:35 due to the initial lead synth then that super rhythmic melody after wards, but the song keeps giving, as always.

Those staticky textures are super cool and that insistent bassline just keeps us trucking along.  There are enough different sounds that come in over the top to keep things interesting throughout as well.  It all sounds good to me.

That bright lead that shimmers up top around 1:10 is so so good. This bangs.

Cool! It has a clear story much like all the other tracks! Seems you used heavy processing to mess the samples up to tell that story, still pretty legit!

Damn, lots of tracks that goes HARD this week. I don't know what is in the air those days.

Bien joué.

You channeled that stress very effectively with that intro I would say. That determined beat sounds like it's trying to master the chaos of that noise and bitcrush. I have complete faith that you can do it!

Amazing layering of instruments and brilliant sound design!

This hits hard!!  Got a uniquely operatic feel too

oh but i'm feeling it when that kedbreak synth bass kicks in !\m/! yais! Love the falling feel with those arps and such an energized lead.  You harnessed the stress and put it into the warp drive! **wipes_lipstick**

OH YES
I love the bass and drums. Nice & dark, and when you hit the main theme I get the same rush as when the Big Twist happens at the end of an 80s horror movie and the credits slam onto the screen. The delicate guitar part breaking through for a moment is great!

wonder where it'll take me
very elegant stuff

cronchy!

When in doubt, go hard. I wish I could be half as good as this is for an “uninspired week.” heart

Darkness approaches, but we fly and we dance. Hard. Until the next level and beyond. Woosh, hard to sit still here. The guitar player is here still for a tasty interlude, not all is lost. This is a way to beat the stress for sure
Cheers to week 2 Ked!

This is great, I think you have under valued this one, got nice snappy/crunchy drums, driving bass, glitches, and an always unexpected Kedbreak turn (1:49) to keep the listener guessing.

Yeah, with that kind of a bassline calling it "synthwave" is a safe bet. I like how the track takes off later, and the unexpected acoustic guitar breakdown is surprisingly emotive. All of this could be called "darkwave", too as it is reminding me of Clan of Xymox, and I can imagine a version of your track with vocals ala Ronny Moorings (see this track for instance).

I'm partial to a charming pig.

Got some old school vibes going on here and you still managed to smash out a few sections.  Do you write/program all the melodic parts or are some of them sampled loops?

Thank you! 2026 is coming HARD indeed. Can we please get a break? Thank you for listening, my friend!

Thank you! Glitch textures are like salt - they can turn any bland track into something that actually tastes ok. But not super good for the health long term. Thank you for the comment!

Thank you! I was hesitating putting that lead as I felt it was a bit cheesy so I am glad people enjoy it.

Yes I think it's like pushing through forcefully with a lightmachete through the heavy chaotic jungle of my life right now. The only way is through!

Ah that might be the descending arpeggios mid point, maybe a little baroque-ish, one of my peches mignons, I'm afraid. Thank you for your kind comment!

I NEED ALL THE LIPSTICKS IN THE WORLD. Thank you for listening and for your words of encouragement.

Man that is a nice comment but my best tracks don't get close to your low weeks. I need to improve and also dedicate more time to the tracks. Thank you very much for listening!

Thank you for listening! Some acoustic guitar in a post apocalyptic cyberpunk track is always a nice change (before the forementioned cyberpunk track claws back for your boots and pulls you back into the electric abyss).

I did not know this bad! This is cool! I checked a few of their tracks now and feel like it's the type of music I dig. Thank you for sharing!

Pigs are underrated. For this track, I programmed all the melodic parts. Thank you for listening and for the comment!

L'esthétique est cool... le snare et percutant et assez surprenant par moment, la bass est plutôt amusante, in a good way wink

love the static intro

i think the drums are a little too crispy for me?  i might want to run this whole thing through the analog heat and burn it a bit!

LOVE the sounds on the ending!
