A Steel Sky

I was not very inspired this week. I did try to make a track based on Danny Elfman's Nightmare before Christmas, but that just did not gel. So i went into a more simple recipe with a short synthwave track.

Really cool synth sounds. That plucked sound towards the end (can't remember the name of the instrument) was such a nice surprise and works really well.

You can never go wrong with some cold hard synthwave beats, hahahaha... Dang, I'm really impressed that you can come up with something this cool when you're not inspired! Those dancing arps are so cool! And the banjo interlude? And that buzzing sawtooth synth right after, oh man... Dang, really enjoying this one!

Ooooh that bassline is sooooo catchy! yikes Yeaaaa for not being inspired this has so much energy with the drums and sparkling synths.  If this were a theme to a show when I was a kid I woulda been glued to the tv smile

No, this one has a good recipe. Short and effective.

Those '80s beats, timbres, and arps are just my vibe. Love that stuff. Executed very well! That gliding solo at the end seals the deal. You say "uninspired", I say "locked in".

Love how that synth lead smoothly slides in at 1:22, nice energy on this one, sounds like another solid track to my ears.

inspired or not, this is so rad!!

*i would also love to hear an Elfman inspired track from you at some point!

If I listen just right, eyes half closed, I can hear this in Nightmare smile, the version in my head at least, maybe its a sequel.
This is fun though, a good recipe, short and sweet, love the lead that soars along in second half. You have a knack for this style no doubt.
