Whitney Bingham // drums

› lyrics

i was beyond excited to get this drum track from Whitney after i sent her an embarrassing voice memo of me beatboxing an idea. Whitney was in the incredible instrumental band, Chung Antique, and is currently playing in the U.P.'s Beatrix. i loved playing along with her drums and went a little guitar wild. emily was thrilled to listen to me record feedback for an hour yesterday  big_smile

hope y'all have a great week! let's keep going!

added and favorited! (and good job on the lyrics,)

The alchemy here for me is music's ability to summon the ghosts of memories - fleeting and brief and haunting and just out of reach - this song is haunting me with so many of those beautiful ghosts. Goosebumps.

What a sweet song. heart Both of you make WB special with your music.

Wow this gives me nostalgia for something but I can't really tell what. Love it! Great track all around

Pavement could not have writtten a better song. Extremely emotional weeping guitars, you indie rocker. My compliments to all the musicians that made this possible. Thank you, I feel 30 years younger now.

wow the feedback recording paid off. So many cool electric guitar layers and tasteful licks throughout this. Really lovely tune, as always.

Really like the way it builds and the guitar layers hit a real sweet spot that reminds me of a lot of the music I've loved over the years.

Extremely satisfying! Loving the fuzz/feedback! It's an epic beam of sunshine breaking through the clouds.

Christ on a cracker, I thought I had a classic 90's alt-rock Spotify playlist running, but no it's WB -- kind of blown away by this one, amazing job!

Classy! Really clean composition. Some nice early Radiohead vibes in parts.

There are a couple of places where I can't make some words out over the guitars, but maybe that's intentional

every dang week! love Whitney's drums on this.  Such a nice cozy cohesive sound throughout and love the main guitar hook/strum and how soothing it is especially as it builds at the end with your vocals.  Feedback appreciated too tongue Awesome production and really enjoyed the uplifting lyrics "your hand fits perfectly" *swoon* Youuuu guyyyssss smile

Suuuuper pretty. Love the vibes here.

Yes, my feelings exactly!!!

Lovely laidback track, enjoyed the gentle tempo while walking in the sun after the rain

so nice, looove the lyrics and everything sounds so good

yikes wowow really loved this track, especially the end - really feeling the emotion in last verse.

Really enjoyed the lyrics and melody on this one smile I think you went just the right amount of "wild" on the guitar. Drums are rock-solid as well. I'm just rocking out over here, way to go!

So nice. Just a nice pace to sway and listen along. Love the lyrics and vocals. Good guitar wildness, perfect. Making me smile!

early Radiohead was definitely big for me! and thanks for the feedback. i did struggle a little bit getting the vocal level to sit where i wanted it. i had a mix with them up a bit, but ultimately wanted them to feel more like they were part of the music and less in the spotlight. almost like the "band" was playing a little too loud and you can hear the vocals but the P.A. is struggling to keep up. or something like that  big_smile
